Highlights from the Sixth Day of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Project!

A Trip to Debrecen:

On the sixth day, we traveled to Debrecen, one of Hungary’s most beautiful and historic cities.

First Stop: Reformed Great Church of Debrecen

Our first destination was the iconic Reformed Great Church of Debrecen, a symbol of Hungarian Calvinism. The church, built in the 19th century, is one of the largest Protestant churches in Hungary and features a stunning interior and a panoramic view from the tower. With its multiple floors and many visitors, finding each other inside became quite the adventure!

Lunch Break - Lángos Delight:

For lunch, we enjoyed Lángos, a beloved Hungarian street food. This deep-fried flatbread is often topped with sour cream and cheese, offering a delicious taste of Hungarian culinary tradition.

Free Time in Debrecen:

After lunch, we had two hours of free time to explore the city. Some of us headed to the shopping malls, while others wandered the streets, soaking in the charm of Debrecen.

Ice Skating Fun:

Later, we regrouped in front of the church and headed to the ice-skating rink. Watching our friends try ice skating for the first time was hilarious, while those who already knew how to skate impressed us with their skills. It was such a joyful and laughter-filled experience!

Evening: Macedonian Culture Night

After a beautiful day, we returned to Kállósemjén, where our Macedonian friends hosted an amazing Macedonian Culture Night. Just like the Turkish night, it was a celebration filled with music, traditions, and unforgettable memories.

You can watch the highlights from the Macedonian Culture Night soon on our YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/m-AaSsbIFbg)
