Draughts Are Fun – Learning Together and Preparing for Competitions
During the programme sessions, the young participants gradually progress from the basics of draughts to more complex tactical and strategic situations. Through practice games, they develop their attention, foresight, and decision-making skills, while learning to evaluate their own moves more consciously.
Playing together is also an important community experience. More experienced participants support their peers, while friendly matches provide opportunities to practise sportsmanship, patience, and coping with setbacks. For the most motivated young people, the sessions also provide a foundation for future competition preparation.
The “Our Talents in Mind Sports” programme, project ID NTP-TEHETSEG-25-0149, was implemented with the support of the National Talent Programme, from the National Talent Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation. The amount of funding is HUF 4,700,000. The implementation period of the programme: 01.09.2025-31.08.2026.
