Looking for CERV project partners

Our municipality would like to submit an application for this year's Networks of Towns (CERV-2023-CITIZENS-TOWN-NT) and we are looking for partners.


The main objective of our project is to pass on our cultural heritage and folk traditions to the generations to come. To promote and support intergenerational dialogue. To showcase the cultural diversity of Europe through the participating partners.


To present the folk values of the country and the region through folk traditions and culture. To present the local cultural heritage to partners from abroad.

According to the following themes:

Folk music: introduction to and performance of traditional folk songs, chants and songs. Introduction to folk instruments.

Folk dance: traditional dances (children and teachers of folk dance) (with the participation of dance instructors and teachers)

Folk traditions (learning about customs linked to special days and holidays).

Gastronomy. Cooking together with the participants in the project. Demonstration and preparation of typical dishes of the country or dishes typical of different festivals.

Folk costumes: presentation of typical folk costumes, presentation of the costumes of the different regions.

Folk crafts: learning simple techniques and practices. Organising craft activities. Traditional folk crafts Making traditional handicraft products.

Folk poetry: (performing, learning and translating folk tales, sagas, proverbs.

Folk architecture: introduction to folk architecture, visits to village museums and country houses.

Local knowledge: getting to know the localities of the participants in the project (historical background), local characteristics, presentation of their own coat of arms and flag, and presentation of community places and notable buildings.

Getting to know the local community: organising visits to institutions and associations in the municipalities (e.g. local council, kindergarten, school, library, pensioners' club).

Organising town-twinning meetings: visits between twin towns, e.g. on the occasion of a town or village day, to get to know the local communities.
