Play4Peace-Joint meeting in Afyon

Implementing countries: Turkey, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary. The main objective is to effectively integrate young people with fewer opportunities through sport and games. A joint meeting took place in Afyon, Turkey, from 15-19 July. At the conference, which showcased our experience of mobility, a number of speakers shared their ideas on how sport can be used effectively as a tool for social inclusion. We were also able to hear the personal stories of the participants, which further reinforced the project's objectives of fighting discrimination, developing empathy and bridging the gap between communities. The presentations all served to build even stronger relationships between us.

We are particularly pleased that the results of the project, such as the multilingual sports dictionary, will soon be available to all interested parties. These materials will provide new perspectives and methods for organisations working with young people with fewer opportunities.
