Day 3

This morning we had free time, so we took the Patriot Park by bike. We visited some beautiful places. Our destination ended at the Museum and Temple Complex of the Russian Armed Forces. The church with 3 floors is gigantic and beautiful. Unfortunately, neither pictures nor video can reflect what you see in person.

After lunch, the opening ceremony began, where ladies and young people dressed in traditional costumes welcomed the international grandmasters, masters and young players from nearly 30 countries.

After the opening ceremony, the first day of the tournament began with a blitz party.

Bálint finished 37th out of 50 players with 7 points. There were 27 masters titles in the field.

Anna finished 27th with 5 points. The field included 21 players with championship titles.

While our 2 players battled it out in the competition hall, I went exploring to see what else can we see in the free afternoon. We won't be bored...
