2022.01.10-01.16 Poland Lublin 4 students and 2 teachers from each country participated in the learning event. The students prepared presentations on water management and New Year customs in their countries and presented them to the other participants in a school in Lublin. In the evenings we met at the school, where parents welcomed us with local specialities, a complete Polish Christmas menu. We learned that each traditional Christmas dinner in honour of the 12 apostles consists of 12 courses. During the visit, we had the opportunity to see the water management plan of Lublin. It was interesting for us to see how such a big city with more than 130 000 inhabitants could manage the collection and treatment of wastewater. The experts guided us through the whole process. We visited the Lublin City Council, where we were shown how the city works. It was a great experience for us to see how well their youth municipality works. Lublin has been awarded the title of "European Youth Capital 2023". It is a young, vibrant city with a wide range of activities for young people. We were also welcomed by the head of the youth municipality at the city hall. Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us with snow, so the snow activities, sledging and snowman building were cancelled. Instead of them we explored the history of the town and the surrounding area and visited the concentration camp Majdanek. It was a harrowing experience. We went to the Lublin stadium where we shouted "Ria, Ria, Hungaria." We returned home with a great experience and are now preparing for our next meeting February 27-March 4 Zonguldak Turkey), where the theme is the way our grandmothers used to do it.
