An Eventful Second Day in Le Havre!

The second day of our journey was truly eventful, as it marked the beginning of the professional programme of our group learning mobility in France.

We started the day with a generous breakfast, followed by our first Krav Maga session at the Okinawa Karate Club. During the training, we learned various attacking and defensive techniques, while the participants also gained practical experience in personal safety, self-defence and conscious situational awareness. The intensive session was not only physically challenging, but also required self-discipline, concentration and cooperation.

After the training, we had lunch together. Following a short rest, we attended an interactive presentation that gave us an insight into the operation of the French social and public administration system. The programme placed particular emphasis on the roles, responsibilities and social duties of the police and fire services. This helped the participants better understand how public service institutions operate, as well as the practical meaning of citizens’ rights and responsibilities.

To conclude the professional programme, we began exploring the city of Le Havre during a two-hour walk. The shared city tour gave us the opportunity to become more familiar with the atmosphere and coastal characteristics of the host environment, while also gaining new experiences together as a group.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the time spent at the seaside, where the braver participants even ventured into the water. We ended the evening with a shared dinner and also had the opportunity to discover the flavours of local French cuisine.

The second day provided us with practical experience, new knowledge and shared memories, further strengthening both the group and the professional objectives of the mobility.
