Draughts – Thinking, Strategy, Development

The professional work of the programme continued during the summer period as well. During the draughts sessions, participants continued practising conscious move planning, evaluating decision-making situations and adapting to their opponent’s play.

During the games played together, independent thinking and learning from one another became increasingly important. The young participants evaluated game situations with greater confidence, while their concentration, patience and strategic planning continued to develop. Playing together also remained an important source of community experience and motivation for them.

The “Our Talents in Mind Sports” programme, project ID NTP-TEHETSEG-25-0149, was implemented with the support of the National Talent Programme, from the National Talent Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation. The amount of funding is HUF 4,700,000. The implementation period of the programme: 2025.09.01-2026.08.31.
