#Erasmus+Sport
In the framework of the Erasmus+ Sport project "A new community sport - kinball" (contract number 2023-1-HU01-KA182-SPO-000113269 ) we travelled with 9 participants to Dortmund, Germany.
Day 2 was almost entirely spent travelling. Getting from Dortmund to Dissen, the training venue, was not easy. 3 transfers. Finally we arrived in the city and a last half hour bus ride was waiting for us. The driver was very nice, as we were the only ones on the bus, so he drove us to the entrance of the camping hotel. I must admit we were freezing, 0 degrees, snowing, no train stations to pull into for warmth. Finally we arrived at the hotel where we were given the keys to the mobile homes and unfortunately there again it was 0 degrees. With difficulty we got the heating on, but it took a whole evening to warm it up. We couldn't even eat lunch, so we were starving. The restaurant let us in to warm up, but food could only be ordered from 17:00. So we sat hungry and cold, sipping tea at the end of the world.
Then the team from Dissen arrived to pick us up in their car and take us to training. And the training began...
The next morning at 6:45am we were picked up at the accommodation and played a warm-up team game before the kin-ball bundes league. We did scoring and linesman duties for the league with the help of the participating teams. It was great to see first hand how the sport is played by professional players. In between, we had the opportunity to learn some tactics and were also taught how to slide for the ball. That was the most difficult part. In the evening we ended the day with a dinner and a chat with the participating teams.
