On the Way to Le Havre – We Have Arrived!

On Monday, 2 March 2026, we set off for France from Nyíregyháza railway station at 6:20 in the morning.

After almost four hours of travelling by train and bus, we arrived at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, from where we flew to Paris. In the French capital, we had the opportunity to experience the local public transport system first-hand before continuing our journey to Le Havre by bus in the evening.

The nearly 15-hour journey was tiring, but the warm dinner waiting for us at the hotel and the joy of finally arriving made it all worthwhile.

We are looking forward to tomorrow, when the professional programme of our Erasmus+ accredited adult learning mobility officially begins.

Within the framework of project 2024-1-HU01-KA121-ADU-000195887, 20 adult learners and two accompanying persons arrived in Le Havre, France, to spend one week learning about the operation of the French social protection system, the institutions involved, and learning activities designed to improve personal safety and awareness.

As part of the professional programme, our participants will also become familiar with the basics of Krav Maga self-defence, while gaining new international experience and developing their community, social and civic competences.
