Perseverance | Experience | Shared Moments

At the Russian Draughts European Championship in Kemer, Turkey, the classical games came into focus from the third day onwards. In these rounds, instead of quick reactions, the emphasis was on thoughtful decision-making, deliberate planning, and tactical and strategic choices.

During the classical games, several hours of play each day determined who could remain calm, persistent, and focused at the board over the longer term. Throughout the seven rounds, our players experienced many memorable moments: successes, difficult situations, joyful moments, frustrations, and shared analyses after the games.

The most successful player of the Hungarian team in the classical event was Draguner Krisztina, with 6 points.

This competition gave the participants a great deal not only professionally, but also on a personal level. Although the weather was not always favourable, at the end of the long days the braver participants refreshed themselves in the sea, and some even tried the sauna and the Turkish bath.

For us, the European Championship was not only about competing, but also about development, gaining experience, perseverance, and shared experiences. We are proud of every participant who represented the Hungarian team with distinction at this prestigious international event.
