Quick Decisions | Concentration | First Competition Day

On the first day of the Russian Draughts European Championship, the players competed in the Blitz event. In this category, each game was played with just 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move, so quick reactions, accurate position assessment, and sustained concentration played a decisive role.

The fast pace brought many exciting matches, as in this format even a single moment of hesitation can make a big difference. The Hungarian team’s players performed with determination and finished the first competition day with strong results.
