We are pleased to announce that our "PEACE" project, aimed at supporting and integrating refugees from the war in Ukraine, has been awarded funding through the Erasmus+ program! Over a 36-month period, we will work with volunteers and partner organizations to aid refugee families in their integration and provide housing and a community center in Kállósemjén.
In the first year, 40 volunteers will help renovate three municipal apartments to provide long-term, comfortable housing for 6-8 families. Additionally, we will establish an information center where families can receive assistance with daily affairs and access language and digital training. In the second and third years, we will organize summer camps with joint activities for over 120 children, involving both local and Ukrainian youth to foster cultural awareness and community spirit.
This project gives our volunteers and local community a chance to engage in a Europe-wide solidarity initiative, while strengthening our community's spirit of inclusion and support.
