The Seventh and Final Day of Our Journey – Paris

Our final night in Le Havre was a short one, as we set off by bus for Paris early in the morning, where we began our journey home to Hungary.

Before saying goodbye to France, we still had the opportunity to spend a few hours in the capital. We began the day at the world-famous Eiffel Tower, followed by a pleasant walk along the River Seine. Together, we enjoyed the unique atmosphere of Paris and once again experienced how valuable it is for participants in an international mobility programme to gain new experiences in a different environment and cultural setting.

We had our final lunch together in a small French restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. This shared occasion also provided a good opportunity for the group members to reflect on the events of the past week, recall the most important experiences and share the impressions that the programmes in France had left on them.

Over the past few days, our participants became familiar with several important institutions within the French social, judicial and public safety systems. They gained insight into the work of the police, the courts and the fire service, while the practical self-defence sessions helped them develop competences related to personal safety, self-confidence and conscious situational awareness. The mobility provided not only new knowledge, but also strengthened the sense of community, openness, adaptability and international experience.

After lunch, a long journey awaited us. We travelled by metro, bus, plane and finally by train, arriving at Nyíregyháza railway station at around midnight on Sunday.

This marked the end of an eventful and educational week in France. We are grateful to the host organisation, the professional partners and all participants for the many experiences, shared memories and new knowledge gained during this mobility.
