Project title: 21 days around Europe

2024.08.25.

On the 3rd day, the 3 groups were completely separated and went our separate ways. However, 2 groups stayed together and continued the programme together, but our accommodation was in separate places. It was not easy to coordinate the 2 accommodations, so the girls travelled about 1 hour by public transport to get to the boys' accommodation.

We had planned a nice day and it was a nice day indeed. We visited the Duomo in Milan, the museum, the Royal Castle and the Arc de Triomphe. Beautiful cities, wonderful historical monuments, buildings that everyone should see once. But the reality is that everywhere you look, the eyes are terrible. There is tons of rubbish (paper, plastic, cigarette butts) on the streets and in the historic sites, the streets are not swept or cleaned and neither the locals nor the tourists take care of the cleanliness. The streets smell of piss everywhere. This is true for both Rome and Milan. It is sad to see all the rubbish everywhere. And on top of that there are so many homeless people, thieves. We were lucky enough to meet the Italian hospital and the police during our trip.
