Project title: 21 days around Europe

The night was horrible, neighbours partying till 2 a.m., loud disco music, jacuzzi in topless, etc. So not much sleep.
We started day 7 of our trip at 6am. The girls were on the road at 7am, so that when we arrived at the boys' accommodation, the 2 groups would leave together for the train station and on to Marseille.
The day started with a very nice gesture. The bus was just leaving and we were still dragging our suitcases across the road. We waved to the driver and he kindly waited for us. We remarked that this would certainly have been different back home. Most of the time the door closes in our face.
So with that kind gesture, our day got off to a good start. We bought the group breakfast and then headed to the train station for a metro ticket check. One of us of course lost our metro ticket. And here was the second kind gesture. The inspector saw one of us frantically looking for the ticket and asked, are we a school group? And then she kindly let us pass. The same thing in Budapest with foreign guests cost us 12 000 HUF, because the inspector did not accept the reason that we were a group, only that someone had lost his ticket just getting off the metro.
After that we boarded the train, where the air conditioning in our carriage broke down and the train was delayed for 40 minutes. So our lunch plans were cancelled, but we took an earlier train to Canne, where we had 2 hours free. We used those 2 hours to have a good Mexican takos for lunch, then admired the Carlton Hotel and the famous cars on the beach. By evening we arrived in Marseille where we continued our treasure hunt to get to our accommodation. Finally everyone in bed....
